The night’s signature event is the “20 Hole Survivor” contest. Players will sit at a board with 3 discs each and shoot at the open 20 hole in turn. If you score a 20, you get your disc back; if not, it goes into the ditch. the last player with a disc wins the match and goes on to play the other winners until a champion is crowned. THE MAIN BRACKET
All 60 teams will be placed into a double elimination bracket with the top 4 teams from the round-robin receiving byes. There will be table assignments for the first round of the bracket only. In subsequent rounds the higher seeded team reserves the right to choose the table for their match.
THE CONSOLATION FINALS
Round 7 is considered the start of the consolation finals. The 4 teams that lose their second match in round 7 are not eliminated but will compete for 9th place. The 2 losers of the consolation semi-finals in round 8 will compete for 7th place. Round 8 winners will battle the teams that fell short in the semi-finals. The winners of those matchups will fight for 3rd place under the lights at ILF C&B while the losers will compete for 5th place and the coveted booby prize.
FINAL PLACEMENT
Places 1 through 10 are determined by head-to-head competition. The final placement for the remainder of the field will be determined according to seed with respect to the round in which they were eliminated. For example: 11th place will be given to the higher seed of the two teams eliminated in round 8; the lower seed will get 12th. No teams are eliminated in round 7 so 13th will go to the highest seeded team that was eliminated in round 6; 14th the next highest and so on.
