Voorheesville, NY 12186, for those wishing to participate. Meet under the pavilion located at the front of the park as you enter. You will be randomly paired with another US Open player and your team will be playing against the field in a friendly competition. Format is a “scramble” aka “best disc”. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME. We will be making use of the charcoal grill on site. BYOB is encouraged and HIGHLY suggested as is suitable footwear for potentially muddy conditions. Please try to arrive by 2:00pm to facilitate team parings and shotgun start. Please let Jay know if you plan on coming at extrapint@yahoo.com.

This is a great opportunity to rub elbows with players from around the country and test your skills in against some of the game’s greats as well as Jeremy Tracey. The night’s signature event is the “crokinole survivor” contest, sponsored this year by Brown Castle Games. Players will sit at a board with 4 discs each and shoot at the open 20 hole in turn. If you score a 20, you get your disc back; if not, it goes into the ditch. the last player with a disc wins the match and goes on to play the other winners until a champion is crowned. This year’s defending champion is “Magic” Mike McTague of EPCC Voorheesville. If your team CANNOT attend, please RSVP to Jay at extrapint@yahoo.com.

In the interest of time, we’ve modified the typical 64 team double-elimination bracket format. Seeds 23 thru 42 will compete head-to-head in Round 1 (round of 64). The winners will advance to Round 2 while those teams that failed to advance will play back in their own bracket for 33rd place.

The Main Double-Elimination Bracket starts at Round 2 (round of 32).

The losers of the tournament semi-finals will play for 3rd place. The winners of the consolation bracket will be awarded 5th place. The losers of the consolation semi-finals (round 7) will play for 7th place while the four losers of the consolation quarter-finals (round 6) will compete for 9th place.
